Perfect chicken fried steak with a couple sunny side up eggs. Gravy was pretty dang good! The pepper, well that's all me.

Nice Place to go hang out hve a meal great food, or go to the Bar part hve drinks some nites u can sing karaoke has other music also great place for Fisherman to visit right on the lake they hve a liquor store & connivence store wth fuel etc next door to it so it’s a one stop place. Know the owner personally & He is A Great Person & Runs a Nice clean Place wth All GREAT WORKERS.

Waitress was nice and attentive but our ribeyes not so great one was undercooked and the other a little tough which sucks for the price you pay

Good selection of grilled and fried seafood, steaks, burgers and more. Restaurant on one side, club and bar on the other. Divided in the middle so plenty family friendly. Basic salad bar, yummy appetizers and super friendly service. Great for groups and celebrating any special occasion with large amount of people. If your near Lake Sam Rayburn, this spot is worth a stop.

Really great food it hit the spot, nice and clean, smelled great no over powering smell of cleaners like bleach..., staff was very helpful with picking out a tasty meal and Drink. I will be coming back with the Family.

Visited during covid-19 phase reopening. Staff was nice and working hard to keep the place clean and sanitized. Had a limited menu, which was expected given the virus. Food was good, just your typical American food place. Restuarant has been in business for many years. Has two sections one for smoking ( more like a bar area) and a non smoking. I had the steak finger basket, it was tenderized and seasoned well.

Girlfriend and I decided to have a much needed girls night, decided to try this place out . Came in seated ourselves and had to wait a while for service several wait staff walked straight pass us. We ordered drinks and appetizers and a taco salad got our drinks they was really good and so was the appetizers but we never got our taco salad and our waitress spent most of her time else where. Probably will choose some where different next time we decide to have a night out.

Spacious restaurant and bar that has a REAL country vibe to it. The food is not too bad and the staff is friendly. Has gone through a bit of renovation not too long ago; which only made it better in my opinion. The bar side of the eatery used to be the grungiest/stale smoke induced, dimly lit smoking section. Even those that didn't smoke or just quickly passed through the area never left untouched by the stench and odor. I can now say that those Days Are Over since the entire restaurant has become non-smoking inside with a small area outside designated for smoking. If you're ever in the area and just want to grab a bite to eat and relax in a nice clean smokeless bar area and have a good chat with friends then I would definitely check it out.

Service personnel are great. Very amicable and down to earth, but not overly bothersome. Only issue was take out. Ordered a burger (very tasty) and onion rings. Only got three onion rings, now that was not a very good value for the money. May order once again to verify that only three onion rings are in an order.... If they are, not sure I'll want to continue eating where u done get a good value for the money. Loved the service though.

The staff was friendly and treated us like family, the owner even came by and thanked us for coming in. It's a good family restaurant that has really good food and delicious sweet tea! We got the cheeseburger and a small chicken fried steak that were both amazing! The chicken fried steak is easy to cut through and not chewy at all, with a perfect fry on the batter. I can tell the burger was homemade and was full of flavor. The fries and onion rings were also good. Just an overall good experience and we will definitely be back!

We were daytripping to Boykin Springs and we thought we'd drive out to this restaurant. The employees were exceptionally friendly and the building was clean. The locals were chatting and it definitely has that "down home charm." The food was good. It wasn't so good that we will drive from Lufkin just to eat there BUT if we are in the area we will definitely visit again.

I had the small fried catfish it was very good and their tarter sauce was one of the best I have ever eaten.

Amazing catfish! Steak fingers were homemade as were the onion rings... only 3 on the plate but they were huge! Brisket seemed a bit overcooked.

Great food, clean environment, nice decor, value pricing. But the real standout here goes to Toni and the other staffers - top flight service without being overbearing. It's worth the drive if you are anywhere within the area: for me it was 1/2 an hour drive, and there were closer options, but it was 100% worth the extra time and distance.Pro tip: they do lunchtime buffet, as well as breakfast buffet on weekends.

We were looking for that cozy, friendly East Texas restaurant to visit when we got to the lake. So, our first trip was arranged by texting the employees about our birthday plans to the lake and then to eat at The Stump.When we arrived, (remember it’s our first time here), we were greeted by a waitress that put 2 and 2 together to determine who we were. From that moment on everything just got better. It was cozy, friendly, great food, and even a birthday surprise and a visit to our table with smiles and a birthday song.Absolutely a perfect first visit that felt like we had been going here for years. When in the Lake Sam Rayburn area, don’t miss the opportunity to eat here and meet a friendly staff of folks.

The food there is so good you will want to eat twice. Don't try it though because you will be stuffed. Haha. It wasn't nothing for me to eat there and bring some home for later. Great night life too. Check it out
